We’ ve been having gorgeous and hot weather for more than a month now. Today, the air in the shade is a bit more than 28° celsius, the water at 27° .
Our blooming sage attracts many of these Sphinx moros, or Sphinx colibris. In fact they look so much like colibris that they could be mistaken as such.
After having waited for more than five years, the “Ardèche train” will again travel on the historic railway line of the Vivarais, built on the flank of a hill in the Doux valley by more than 1000 construction workers from 1886 to 1891, and used since 1891. Our favourite restaurant Châtaignes & Champignons is located in the picturesque village of Chalencon. Not only will you enjoy a traditional meal from Ardèche with local products in a nice setting, you will also be able to discover an exhibition of engravings and oil paintings that Sophie did, from May 31 to September 15.
